Countess Báthory was a Hungarian Noblewomen who was revealed to be a butcher of young virginal girls in order to bathe in their blood to remain youthful and vital.  Her story goes as far to claim that she tortured hundreds of victims prior to murdering them.  She became a legend and part of the lore in the Hungarian area where it was said that she was also a vampire.
